COTSWOLD CHRISTMAS FAIRS AND MARKETS

Last week we went to the WellChild Christmas Fair which has been held at Daylesford for a few years now and is only a few miles from my lovely holiday cottages.  We had a great evening looking at all the amazing things that we could buy and this inspired me to get on with some Christmas shopping.  This Cotswolds Christmas fair is on every year and is well worth a visit next time, but if you haven’t quite got in the Christmas shopping mood then don’t worry as there are plenty more opportunities, and as I still have much to do I will be heading off to some of the other fairs being held here in the Cotswolds during the run up to Christmas.

For my guests visiting I will be letting them have all the details of where to go and visit and where the best shopping can be had, but they may just want to snuggle up with a cosy blanket and admire the view which could of course be a wintry one here at King Johns Barn.

Christmas Markets in the Cotswolds

Oxford, the city of dreaming spires will again be filled with festive joy as the Oxford Christmas Market returns to the heart of the city on beautiful and historic Broad Street, from the 7th to the 17th of December.  With the sound of choirs singing Christmas carols, market traders offering unusual and handmade gifts, colourful decorations brightening wooden stalls and the aroma of mulled wine and cinnamon drifting in the air – a visit to the Oxford Christmas Market is a truly magical Christmas experience.

Cirencester’s Christmas Markets will be extra special this year as the Market Place now has a new pedestrianised area and it is only about half an hour away from us:-

Saturday 2 December – Cirencester Sparkles Advent Market 11am to 7pm
Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 December – Cirencester Christmas Markets 10am to 5pm
