King John’s Palace Open and Good to Go
We are very excited to say that King John’s Palace is open and Good to Go. The renovation works are complete and we are pleased to say that we will welcome guests from the beginning of September this year. We are officially open and what has been our family home can now be yours for a weekend or more. Come, stay and enjoy this historic house. Follow in the footsteps of Royalty.
Former Royal Hunting Lodge
This former Royal Hunting Lodge, now fully modernised with en-suite shower rooms with rainfall showers, a very spacious kitchen/dining hall with huge mahogany dining table, can accommodate up to 12 guests. The fully fitted kitchen now has a brand new 5 oven electric Aga with induction hob, large island and a useful pantry. If it gets cold, close the shutters and make use of the 2 woodburning stoves, an open fire and under floor and central heating.
This Grade II* Listed Historic House offers 6 bedrooms, 4 en-suites and a family bathroom. On the ground floor is the central kitchen/dining hall, snug, formal drawing room and lovely light morning room. A downstairs wc, office/study area, utility area with washer/dryer and a perfect space for your muddy boots and the dogs.
The second floor has a quirky kids playroom/TV room. The attic room has a king sized double bed, a statement freestanding bath with shower attachment and private wc and wash hand basin. Outside
Outside the house is surrounded by mature gardens and grounds, with plenty of hiding places for the children and a fabulous patio area with gas barbecue where you can all dine outside and enjoy the evening sun.
There is plenty of private parking on the gravelled drive, and there are steps leading up to the property. No doubt some of you will wish to bring your four legged friends and this can be arranged by prior approval.
