This unique hidden gem is a historic Grade II* Listed Farmhouse sitting on a scheduled ancient monument.  We are so excited and pleased, after several years of work updating and modernising, to be able to offer our family home to you, your family and your friends.  We are dog friendly so you can bring your best friends as well.

The “Palace” as it is known, is a luxury unique self catering holiday house near Burford.  It is situated in an elevated position with far reaching views and has six bedrooms, 3 en-suite shower rooms, a family bathroom and in the second floor bedroom a freestanding bath with private wc.  Central to the house is its heart, a large kitchen/dining hall.  Then there is a snug, office, snooker room and formal drawing room.  On the second floor is a quirky children's tv/playroom and on the ground floor utility/dog area and large boot room.  The mature garden has plenty of areas to sit and relax and the large patio area is perfect for summer evening alfresco dining.

From the moment you step inside the door you will feel the history around you, yet the peacefulness of the house cannot fail to help you take a deep breath and relax.  It has a unique feeling that cannot be explained but just to know that you are staying where ten kings and queens have stayed before you is surely reason enough to come and experience this unique house.  There is of course free wi-fi and smart TV's although the pace of life here is a little slow.

We can accommodate up to 12 guests excluding baby in a cot, so why not come and spoil yourselves here in the Cotswolds.  Take afternoon tea in the garden or for an extra treat you can book a personal chef, Mike Fishpen, who knows our kitchen well and will look after you like kings and queens.  See our partner page for more information.
