Cotswolds Self Catering Cottages
Our Covid 19 update is that we have had a very busy summer so far with many happy guests. We have perfected our covid cleaning policy and have managed to work with whatever rules have been in place. Even though we are able to return to some sort of normal we are still taking extra care and doing our best to accommodate everyone as safely as possible.
Situated in the rural Cotswolds, these holiday cottages near Burford, offer great self catering dog and child friendly accommodation within easy reach of Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Cheltenham, Broadway, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the Wold, Cirencester and Bibury. Oak Tree Cottage
King John’s Palace
Ideal location in the Cotswolds
Set on the edge of Langley Farm, a former Royal Hunting Lodge for the Wychwood Forest, now a working stock farm, guests can expect to see sheep and cattle and even have some rural smells occasionally. Although guests can visit our farm by arrangement we are very close to Adam Henson's Farm and of course the Cotswold Wildlife Park.
King John, who built a 'Palace' at Langley by enlarging the already present building, was first recorded to be there in 1204 using Langley as an annexe to the palace at Woodstock where of course you can visit Blenheim Palace. We are pleased to say bookings have been very busy for King John's Palace or Langley Farm as it is now known, and if you are interested in this property please contact Vicky direct for prices and further information.
The Barn takes its name from the King John's Oak which was said to be a rallying point for huntsmen in the Wychwood Forest and is marked on many of the old maps. Surrounded by fields, with only a few cottages nearby you can really experience the rural idyll. We are fairly near Soho Farmhouse if you really have to go there but why would you when you can have all this to yourselves.
